On Saturday night my wife and I were able to have a night out without our five children. It was a chance for us to actually enjoy pauses in conversation and enjoy ourselves. We don’t go out too often, making Saturday that much more important to us. When we left the house we did not know where we were going to go, and started to plan our evening as we drove away. We each suggested the other choose and after a brief discussion we chose to head over to Basilico Ristorante Italiano. We had tried in December to have dinner on a Sunday night there but normally they are dark on Sunday and on this particular Sunday they were having a special wine tasting prix fix menu, and as we had not previously purchased tickets, we could not get a table.Read the rest of my review here...

Submitted by Tschida on Tue, 03/18/2008 - 12:23pm.Thank you very much. I forgot that using MS Word 2007 causes a bunch of issues with the blog. I see it seems someone fixed it for me. THANK YOU.
Thanks for the comment Sarah.

One of the great non sequiturs of the left is that, if the free market doesn't work perfectly, then it doesn't work at all-- and the government should step in.

Chocolate Gelato
Submitted by Robert Whitlock on Tue, 03/18/2008 - 2:43pm.I went to the Basilico some time back for desert. I ordered chocolate gelato. There was a piece of plastic in it; I think it was part of a wrapper.
I told the waiter, and showed her the piece of plastic.
Anyway, the gelato was definitely tasty, and I ate the whole thing. I don't remember getting sick either.
I am sure they wouldn't have charged me if I had refused to eat it, however, it seems like it would have been good business to give me a gift certificate or something.
I haven't been back since.
Dude, you're lucky
