restraunt review the new rib eye

I recentently went into the new rib eye dont know if name is changed but new restraunt. break fast steak and eggs. i took one bite of the steak and chewed for about two minutes before giving up. toughest worse steak ever. the cut was wrong, flank maybe. but i sent it back and got the ham steak which was o.k.

but you figure you go to a steak breakfast place they would know what they are doing. also no more 24 hr. service.

now to me the spar was no real loss did any one eating there look into the kitchen before mcmoneymans bought it out ? messy dirty and slack staff. when the card room was active i won 500 bucks at blackjack once, and as an aside i think i played cards with the hollywood bandit a few times there and at the reef wen they had a card room.

but oly needs a good inexpensive spot for a goog breakfast. and i miss ottos too. bagles and lox, no! capers, cream chease ok.yum yum!!! kindest and most respectful staff of any place ive been in a while. eric and the others allways had a smile and good words for everyone. weekends were a mad house though.

Martin Way Diner...I think

I've had a handful of lovely breakfasts there. I wouldn't order a steak there and expect much. I'd go with something like chicken fried steak with mashed spuds or some such.

I miss Ottos

I loved the location and the booths and the food was usually decent.

The place to eat now is.....

The Flaming Eggplant Cafe on Red Square at TESC! Affordable, delicious, local, organic, at TESC? Am I dreaming? No! Check it out! You might even meet someone new on the "rolling singles bar" known as the 41.

What happened to Otto's?

I've been there at all times of day and they've always seemed to have business.  More than once I've been known to grab a bagel there on my way to the OTC.  I know my desire for a business to stay in business is not sufficient for them to continue in business.  Still, they seemed to be doing well and I'm curious why they shut down.

I stopped going because the service got so bad

and the pale, water logged smoked salmon drooping over my baggle didn't help either. Loved the place in its earlier years. Or maybe I was just a nicer person then.

i really dont know

they seamed to be in sync but aperentltly not. as a Poor pertson ottos gave me the best most respectful sservice of all in downtown.
eat the rich the poor are skinny
