I thought this article was both interesting and frightening at the same time.  Here is another from the TSA website.

Sheesh, let's bring back

Sheesh, let's bring back Phrenology while we're at it. Maybe profile pics online aren't such a hot idea afterall.

It's a fair call, but Society's to blame. ~ Right! We'll be charging them too!

Whatever happened to...

the idea of not reading people's minds and just asking questions?  I realize that it's not nearly as much fun and you can assert more control if you tell someone what they are thinking as opposed to asking them, but chances are you'll be wrong.

I have a tendency to fold my arms across my chest for comfort from back pain, when sitting for long periods of time.  In a staff meeting, someone brought up "I can tell someone isn't comfortable with this subject by their body language", directing the comment at me (long story, but they didn't want me to be comfortable, either).  I actually was just waiting my turn to present my side of an issue and was seeking a physically comfortable position.  Their statement was an attempt to put me in a defensive position.

For any governmental agency to say they can tell someones motives by a facial expression is just another control mechanism
