While the Geoducks hosted their own Arno Zoske tourney, the Saints men's and women's side travelled down the Northern California and didn't do too bad. Well, actually, the Saints men took and old fashioned thumping by Humboldt State, something I think we might want to prepare ourselves for more of as the first year program rolls out. From the Saints themselves:
The Saints men won their next game against Notre Dame de Namur. When the Saints came home this week, they dropped a game against Whitman. The Saints women likewise split their tournament time in California, losing to Humboldt, but beating Notre Dame de Namur. The Geoduck women's side continued the splitting ways and lost to Thompson Rivers 1-2, but taking the Lutes of Pacific Luthern University 3-1. Hannah Etengoff led the Geoducks with three shots, two of which made goal. The Geoduck men dropped both ends, losing to two Canadian sides: UBC 3-4 and Simon Frasier 0-4. The Geoducks lost their first conference game of the year, dropping to Northwest 1-4 on Wednesday. South Puget Sound will get into action this weekend playing Olympic at home (on the Evergreen fields) on Friday and Bellevue on Tuesday. The Clippers will head up to Port Angeles on Saturday to play Peninsula. Saint Martins men will play national power Seattle Pacific University tomorrow afternoon at 4p at the Lacey Regional Athletic Center. They'll follow up against Notre Dame de Namur on Tuesday 1:30p at home. The Saints women will travel to Spokane this week to take on Whitworth on Saturday. Both Geoduck teams will pause play until the end of next week. Tolmie Cup Standings 9-6-07 St. Martins Men (6 pps, 1.2 ppg)
