I keep posting a blog, and it keeps disappearing. What's up?
»

I think God keeps striking it off the blog

Every time I post a link to "Focus on the Family," the whole entry disappears.

yeah

something seems kind of weird. btw i promoted your second version of the story to the front page.

Thanks, Rob!

Thanks a lot. It's so frustrating when you work really hard, inserting all those links, and then it all disappears!

small consolation

Hey Janet, sorry about the posting problems. To file under the "it's a pain but it works" category of blogging: right before submitting the post click on the "disable rich-text" button, then highlight and copy all of the html. Then, if something does happen to the post, you can immediately paste it back into the submission field or into Notepad and nothing gets lost.

Of course this comes after you need it, but it's good for future posts as well.

Dead Ends

It seems to be an OlyBlog eccentricity. It is amusing how the progressives view this as a curious blip, yet when this happens to right-wing members it suddenly becomes censorship.

I guess we see what we want to see.

To be completely honest and completely fair...

... this progressive considered the following possibilities:

The spiritual: There really is a God, who disapproved of my post, and smote it.

The conspiratorial: A very clever hacker, who works for either Focus on the Family or the Alliance Defense Fund, created some sort of worm or other malicious computer program that wiped out my posts when I tried to link to their websites.

The self-doubting: I am doing it all wrong! I will never be able to post blog entries with lots of embedded links... maybe men really DO have more aptitude for technology.

Of course, blaming it on Olyblog eccentricity is much more satisfying than any of the above. Except maybe the conspiracy theory.

Hey know, that's a blanket

Hey know, that's a blanket statement! I've been using my right wing lately, as opposed to my wrong, and I had a perfectly logical and rational explanation to the problem :p

Also

Also our spam filter is still learning. So until a docent logs on and moves the post appropriately, the post won't be published. Usually there is nothing at all wrong with our posts, the spam filter just gets tripped.
