Although neither candidate would show their hand, the question was posed to both Obama and Clinton of the possibility of a "super ticket" where either would accept the other as their running mate.

Hillary Clinton is a strong willed person.  Obama is gaining strength and not willing to back down to anyone.  Could the two become a team?

What would be the strengths?  What would be the weaknesses?

I see Obama being an excellent asset in foreign affairs and Clinton having another go at taking on the healthcare challenges in the US, with a supporting Congress.  I'm not sure that Clinton could comfortably take orders from Obama and am not sure that Obama's rise to success would make him a great second fiddle either.

Your thoughts?  Let's see if we can discuss this beyond silly Clintonesque' folklore and sex/race issues.

IMHO

Hillary is too strong willed to settle for being 2nd in charge. She's already had that job when her husband was President!

I think Obama would seem way more open to being Vice President to Hillary than the other way around.

Good Question Larry

I don't see it working. Neither side wants to relinquish the spotlight or power it comes with being president.  Don't get me wrong, I appreciate both candidates and I think they could both offer something.  I'm more interested in who these two would pick as running mates.

The jury is out with me

Good to hear from you, DJW.

What if:

Obama wins the nomination - I'd like to possibly see Richardson as VP.  Nice opportunity to pick up some centurist votes and Independents, as well as some moderate GOPs.  Bill is an NRA member, which negates their lobby and negative campaigning.  Of course, you know the extremists will key in on his Hispanic heritage and the "illegals" bit, but I think that has gone the way of "gay marriage" as a wedge issue.  People are too smart to think you can deport millions of bodies.  The financially smart way to handle it is get them legal.

How about Hillary as Attorney General?  She was picked by her peers as one of the best attorneys in the country

Hilary as AG?

Wow, I have never given that any thought. I don't know, maybe. She certainly has the mentality and demeanor to do the job.
»

Please, no.  How about

Please, no.  How about Edwards?

»

I'd prefer Richardson

Two senators running for the White Housepresident is even worse than one senator running. Not a very successful position to run from, though Obama's short tenure helps. But the Obama/Clark combo just dawned on me this mornng.

Sorry, Edwards for AG.

Sorry, Edwards for AG.

Out of curiosity, why would you oppose Hillary Clinton as AG?

I oppose Clinton

I oppose Clinton universally.  Why?  1) Her husband 2) Her character 3) Her husband
»

Pretty much what I thought.

thanks.

One of these days you might explain what is wrong with her character.  I'm not supporting her at this point, but I don't find her character flawed whatsoever.

As to Bill, well, my opinion is that he should have had better taste in women, if we was going to risk cheating on his wife, otherwise, he's no worse than Rudy or Newt or probably several others.

Obama/Clark?

Hell yes!

Edwards as AG until the next Supreme Court vacancy!!

Interesting....

Congresspedia on Hillary Clinton:

She joined the presidential impeachment inquiry staff advising the House Committee on the Judiciary during the Watergate Scandal.

Maybe this Attorney General thing has some merit. LOL

Obama/Gore

I would like to see Obama pick up Gore as VP.

For about a year I thought that would be the most powerful for the Democrats.

No term limit on the VP slot.

Not that I think it is Necessary but Gore would add some experience.

Personally I would vote for that but may still go third party. A lot will happen between now and then.
