The Building Revolution by Increasing Community Knowledge (BRICK), student organization from SPSCC is proud to announce a free presentation by David Ray Griffin at the Capitol Theater, Dec 3rd at 7pm. His talk entitled “The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: 9/11, The Cover-up and the Exposé”, will discuss new evidence that has come to light regarding 9/11 since the 2004 publication of his now classic book “The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9-11.”

David Ray Griffin is a retired professor of philosophy of religion and theology who taught for more than 30 years at the Claremont School of Theology in California. He has written over 30 books, many of which deal with the 9/11 attacks and the implausibility of the Government’s explanation of how they happened. Howard Zinn had this to say about him "Griffin's status as a renowned theologian and his systematic approach to the documented evidence lend this work unique importance and authority. Although still shunned by the mainstream media, his book has already encouraged many thousands to debate the case for possible government complicity and at the very least to demand a full, transparent and truly independent public inquiry."

Last Word Books will have available copies of Griffin’s books and DVDs for sale and signing.

For more information please contact BRICK at (360)870-7637.

I watched the 9/11 truth Oly FOR program today at Glen's house, and I recommend it. (He's also telling the truth about the free popcorn.) The TV program is very thoughtful. It does honor to those who were killed on 9/11/01. And it lends credibility to the movement investigating 9/11 for public accountability. I received this via email from Glen Anderson:

“9-11 Truth: Is It OK to Ask Questions?”

You have two more opportunities (THURS SEPT 25 at 9:00 p.m. and MON SEPT 29 at 1:30 p.m.) to watch the Olympia FOR’s TCTV programs about what really happened on 9-11-2001. In case you don’t have cable or live outside of Thurston County, you may borrow a DVD or VHS copy, or you may watch it at Glen Anderson’s home with free popcorn.

For more than 21 years the Olympia FOR has produced one-hour TV programs on issues related to peace, social justice, economics, the environment, and nonviolence. The Olympia FOR’s program airs on Thurston Community Television (TCTV), channel 22 for Thurston County’s cable TV subscribers. Each program airs EVERY Monday at 1:30 p.m. and EVERY Thursday at 9:00 p.m. for a full month. This creates many opportunities to watch each program.

Despite the horrendous events of September 11th, 2001 here in the US - it might be easy to forget another horrendous historical September 11th. 35 years ago, on September 11th, 1973, the democratically elected government of the popular President of Chile was violently upended in a coup d'Etat. Salvador Allende, the democratically elected President was overthrown when subversive elements within the Chilean military stormed and bombed the La Moneda Presidential Palace. Many dissidents were rounded up and they are alleged to have been been killed. The incoming dictator, Augusto Pinochet, is known to have practiced torture in the execution of an authoritarian and harsh, militaristic rule over the people of Chile.

OLYMPIA- Across the nation people are honoring the victims, volunteers and heroes of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack by making the day a day of service. They are volunteering at local nonprofits or making donations to causes they care about and spreading the word through to friends and families to participate as well.

There are many opportunities to participate locally and service opportunities are easy to browse and sign up for at www.volunteer.ws the Web site for the Volunteer Center of Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties. A volunteer-matching database allows potential volunteers to choose where they invest their valuable time based on interests, talents and availability.

After participants volunteer or donate, they have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences on a blog for this important day of service at www.MyGoodDeed.org. Help this community transform 9/11 into a national day of service and change the world one good deed at a time!

The Volunteer Center is a nonprofit organization which recruits and refers volunteers for nonprofit and public agencies, provides volunteer management training and consulting to these agencies and promotes volunteerism as a community value. The Center also participates in community initiatives including Long-Term Recovery Organizations work on disaster recovery, the Thurston County Asset-Building Coalition, Family and Youth Volunteering Initiatives as well as engaging Baby Boomers in meaningful public service. remember 9/11:

"The suicidal assassins of September 11, 2001, did not "attack America," as our political leaders and the news media like to maintain; they attacked American foreign policy."
