Last night the tag CPDT appeared on several surfaces in common areas of my apartment building as well as the surrounding blocks. I am fluent with most arguments in favor of tagging therefore cannot for the life of me see why a tagger would deface the communal space of the Elks building. I ask if the readers of this site know who lays the CPDT tag they pass my email address laurianw@gmail onto the tagger so she/he can explain to me why tagging my building is acceptable. I promise any conversation will remain private.

Today I started removing and covering graffiti along Division, Cooper Point and Bowman. All I used was some Goof Off Graffiti Remover, a paint scraper, some steel wool and some gray paint. It went quick and I covered a lot of ground. Thanks to the lady that yelled "THANK YOU!" to me as she drove past, it made my day. If we all did a little bit we could stay on top of this graffiti. We make this community what it is.
» Here is a link to some before and after pics. If anyone is interested in painting over and needs paint the Habitat for Humanity ReStore (753-1575) has a bunch and it is really cheep. |
