We had a very successful first class this morning, with two very cute and engaging toddlers (one 16 months, the other almost 24 months). We practiced some talking, signing, playing, and drawing. If we get enough of a crowd next time, we may even have a circle time with songs! If you're interested, please go to The Freeschool for more information. You can also visit Talking with Toddlers to learn more about how to facilitate communication in young children.

we went
Submitted by enpen on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 1:15pm.My daughter and I went. We were there. We saw the entire thing and attest its fun. She spoke about it when we left. She spoke about it while walking in the wind. She spoke about it on the way home. And she spoke about it to the very last moment before falling asleep for her nap.
Thank you for doing this, Rick. I'm pretty sure she's already excited for next week.
From the parent side: This is an amazing opportunity to speak with a person who professionally studies human development. It's like the ultimate practical philosophy for who we are, and getting to speak with a source of knowlege about your attempts to understand the development of your child is like a great big gift of awesome. And I mean that in the strictest 80's sense.
I thought it was great too
