I stared at this too long

and now I'm seeing tartans everywhere! Make it stop! Make it stop!

Tartans

Tartans are everywhere.

There is no escape.

Great [expressed in flat monotone].

Wonderful. Do you know it is like to drive into a traffic circle when all you see are tartans? Or to try and slice a pizza? And if you attempt to draw a picture of Charlie Brown, he looks like a Picasso character from the Cubist period or Mr. Zip on acid. It isn't pretty. I was starting to recover and then you had to bring it back with your comment. *Sob!* *Choke!* This is especially hard on those of us who are descended from lots of sawed-off cranky Scotsmen who could not afford their own tartan. In my family they handed down a small sheet of plain burlap.

Burlap?

Lucky you.

When we ran out of itchy blue paint all we had left is kelp. Ever tried draping yourself artistically with kelp?

Hadrian

Now you know why Hadrian really built the wall. To keep out hordes of blue, kelp-adorned red-haired mad-as-Hell Scotsmen wielding Golf Clubs of Death!

Yes, I should be thankful for the meager strip of burlap. You have shamed me into humility.

By the way, nice tartan, Olymp-ian.
