Turn the Budget Around Event Reminder
Tomorrow is the big day at Heritage Park! Right now we have close to 100 boxes. We want a really big wall. So if you can be there, and maybe even bring more boxes, then that would be great.
There will be space at or near the park for making wall decoration art—no need for advance prep.
Please help us compare present military spending with possible peaceful alternatives! We hope to see you tomorrow!
Berd
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."
—Dwight D. Eisenhower, From speech before the American Society of Newspaper Editors, April 16, 1953
34th president of US 1953-1961 (1890 - 1969)

Counter Fear with Love!
Change to peaceful policies, toward the mutual health and happiness of all people!

Successful vigil today, almost lucked out with the weather, though I didn't see anyone die or suffer in anguish as a result of the cold rain and wind that visited... Here are some words from Berd about the way of peace:
