Bill Ransom will be at the Olympia Timberland Library on Tuesday, February 2 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss and sign copies of his new title, "The Woman and the War Baby." The book will be available for purchase.
The Woman and the War Baby is a book-length poem written in multiple styles. The story traces a particular mother and war baby, but also touches on their counterparts throughout the world.
Ransom is an academic dean at The Evergreen State College. He has published six collections of poetry and seven novels, including the noted Pandora Series with the late science fiction writer, Frank Herbert (Dune). Ransom’s poetry has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award.
