Wondering what to do with that old computer in your closet? Solution: E-Cycle Washington is available at Goodwill stores in Thurston County!
Goodwill stores make a convenient collector for old computers, laptops, monitors and televisions. Of six registered collectors in Thurston County, five are Goodwill locations. Goodwill locations include the Olympia Goodwill Store, Lacey Goodwill Store and South Lacey Goodwill Store.
Donating E-Cycle material to Goodwill helps in two ways: supporting Goodwill’s job-training and placement efforts; and through sales at our retail stores, having a greater chance to reuse computers instead of having them end up in the waste stream. Donations to Goodwill are, of course, tax-deductible and Goodwill also will accept peripherals, keyboards, cel phones and other electronic equipment.
To find the location nearest you, go online to www.tacomagoodwill.org and simply click on "Donate." If you're a small business, nonprofit agency or school district with larger numbers of computers to drop off, simply call Donations Customer Service Representative Debbie Morrison at 253.573.1333 ext. 306 or email dmorrison@tacomagoodwill.org.
Goodwill is also teaming up with Thurston County and collecting E-Cycle waste at the county's Waste and Recovery Center at Hawk's Prarie.
