Thank you to event sponsors League of Women Voters of Thurston County, The Olympian, and TC Pro-Net. Thank you to Thurston Community Television for taping and posting, and of course, thank you to all of the participants in this event.
A quick campaign note: This is the final push, and we are being outspent by over 20 to 1 by PSE. Just their Political Action Committee (Alliance to Protect Thurston Power) alone has been funded at a rate 20 times more than our humble grassroots effort. This does not include money PSE is spending on ads for their Re-energize campaign, or their Lightbulb campaign, or other campaigns.
PUD will do a great job at keeping up our electrical infrastructure, and keep the money in county to employ more working crews, re-invest in infrastructure and be a better environmental steward, and proponent of sustainability. (Did you know that PSE uses coal fired electricity from Montana to supply 50% of its electrical customer base?)
Please support the campaign, chip in a dime or a hundred, every little bit counts. Tell your friends, neighbors and co-workers about your support for public power. Protect Thurston Rate-payers and electrical customers. Thank you!
