and what goverment is this under?

unless there are no more nations, this would not work. There is no global gov, etc...maybe if Google decided to try or GE, but that will never happen-

Unfortunately this as been tried with nukes and chem weapons, and to some extent mil. ammo--

Ideally, yes, sure, I'd vote for no violence, but what is a weapon? I can kill with my hands, are they banned? ...or just rifles & knives & stuff like neutron bombs or UCAVs? Too simplistic.

It would be a ban on anything used as a weapon

It would be a ban on anything used as a weapon. So using your hands as a weapon would of course be banned.

Whew!

Boy would that be a rough one to enforce! A ban on violence, so does that mean that enforcers cannot use violence in order to subdue violent ban-breakers? It seems like the violent would quickly gain power.

Non-violent conflict mediation would be the solution Norm..

How did you vote?

I voted No.  You forgot to

I voted No.  You forgot to include poverty, racism (all kinds), politics, ..., ..., you get the point.

I heard a new one when it comes to the "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" saying.  If this is true, then every misspelled werd is the fault of my keyboard, not my hands.

And should be the solution

And should be the solution if possible. I'm a firm believer in non-violent conflict resolution, and I mean that in all seriousness. That doesn't always work though. Some people don't respond well to reason. Some people don't care and would rather cause mayhem.

I haven't voted yet, I'm still thinking on the question. Thank you for asking though.

Yes, of course.  I don't

Yes, of course.  I don't like coercion.

Does that help you with your

Does that help you with your vote, Norm?

Laughing

Oh, man, that is a stretch. I don't like emoticons.

Maybe there should be an exception for violence against little smiley face aplets.

I ended up voting "no". I

I ended up voting "no". I think the behavior should be curbed, but not outright banned.
