It looks like power is out at Evergreen, so the campus is closed until at least 1:00. Olympia schools are open, except for Boston Harbor, which also is without power.

When the wind blows it makes

When the wind blows it makes this awesome howling noise down our chimney. When we have candles burning and the lights off it makes for a great ghost-story atmosphere. It scares the dog but she just curls up with one of us to stay protected.

I went into the movie last night with normal cold weather, I came out to see the streets covered and the air thick with blustery slush.

The movie gave you a mouseover.

I like it

It is humbling to see the power of nature. There is something exciting about storms. Is that perverse?

No, you're romantic...

...not perverse.

romantic?

aw shucks
»

except people get hurt b/c of storms

But people get hurt because of romance too, I suppose.
»

I was kind of thinking...

...of romantic in terms of romanticism as a literary/aesthetic movement, but I like where you've all taken this, toward a discussion of windblown virile bald guys.

I think maybe the Lord is unfair, to some.

Because she definitely gave me both.

I changed the words a bit

I changed the words a bit from what had been posted on a teacher's door at OHS, and made it gender-specific, since most women never go bald.

If you use your brain too much you'll wear the hair right off. Maybe Gug can find the numbers.

there are vast numbers on his pillow every morning.

It's a well documented fact that the cost of every

brilliant insight is one hair. And Rob, I asked you to stop counting the hairs on my pillow.

Is he saving them in a locket?

Which he will auction off prior to Valentine's Day? Rob, I'm messaging you with my bid.

Janet,

For the last time, just because you save all of your toenail clippings doesn't mean they're valuable. I don't care how shiny of a box you put them in.

You think you're so hairy and smart

But you're wrong, wrong, wrong. It's not the box that's shiny, Rob, it's the clippings themselves. I bet you would have known that if you were bald and virile.

According to Six's Odds of Death data

in any given year, we each have a 1 in 2,191,469 chance of dieing of injuries due to being "caught between objects." I wonder if they consider Rob's hair and ego as such "objects."

Caught between objects?

There is no way in HELL that I'm letting you and Rob hug me at the same time!

A locket

Boring...

Nothing happened around the marina that I know of.  No power outagages, etc...  I slept through most of it last night :-)

Yikes!!

We're going to have to give this thread an NC-17 rating. The reason Phil isn't posting anything is because he's blushing so hard right now he's lost all motor control.

Something I've noticed with

Something I've noticed with this icky weather. When the wind is blowing, the rain is drenching, and the slush has covered the land that's when my pup, on her walk, will have ten times the amount of Pmail to sniff and respond to than she does on a pleasant evening.

The colder it is, the more likely every blasted blade of grass will have an urgent message for her from some other canine.
