We Need You!
Are you in an Activist Organization with social justice and democracy goals that would benefit from radio media exposure?

The Alliance is seeking organizational partners to attain FCC full-power radio license to serve Olympia area and to build station thereafter.

In October, the FCC will open a FULL POWER NON-COMMERCIAL/EDUCATIONAL FM radio station licensing window.

This 5-day window may not come again for decades. Act NOW. Join other activists in creating our own radio station.

About the Workshop
We will cover: Why this is a great idea; How process works and what it costs; How this creates opportunity to enhance success of our activism; How this is essential to community democracy; How this is a good alternative to corporate owned media that usually misrepresents our issues.

Olympia needs its own radio station...like FRO but less weird music.

What about KOWA?

Don't forget about KOWA-lp(low power) 106.5. Based at Media Island International(next to library downtown), it has served Olympia since '03. It airs MOSTLY activist material. It also has a few original shows like my shows "Hobo Radio", and "The Woody Guthrie Hour". We are always looking for people to produce their own shows. I support your attempt at the lp license, and will attend the workshop. Check out my site at HOBO RADIO
