Chelsea Baker of Danger Room Comics and radical bookmaker Kelsie Raddas will talk about the history of alternative publishing and help you to create your own zines and mini-comix. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own images and writing.

We're also thinking really hard about starting a zine collection at the Olympia Library, so come and tell us what you think!

Re: Zines & Mini-Comics Workshop

This sound great! I'll definitely try to make it. I would love to help with a zine collection at the library if you would like volunteers!

YES!

We will definitely need volunteers, and I'm looking to start a community advisory board to help figure out all of the logistics with the future collection. Thank you for your interest, and tell all of your friends about Saturday! Our publicity folks were running behind on printing the flyers for this program, so there hasn't been a whole lot of advertising. It's going to be really fun.
